ABOUT BROMHAM SCOUTS

A Welcome from our Group Scout Leader

Dear Parents/Carers,

My name is Camilla King and I am the Group Scout Leader for Bromham Scouts. My role is to lead the Bromham Group, made up of the different sections, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts.

I am lucky to have a great team of Leaders and Assistant Leaders who give up their time and energy. We aim to provide a balanced programme of activities through all the sections.

We all volunteer because we like Scouting, the activities we get a chance to take part in and think Scouting makes a positive difference to the lives of young people. They get the opportunity to try new things, explore their talents, develop their values and beliefs and make the most out of life.

WEBSITE

The site aims to promote Bromham Scouts and support parents by providing programme details, camp kits lists and other information.

CAN YOU HELP?

We are always keen for more help on the weekly parent rotas, at camps or on a more regular basis.

If you have any questions/feedback concerning the Bromham Scout Group please free to contact me either at bromhamscoutsgsl@gmail.com

Kind Regards     Camilla King - Group Scout Leader

Our Scout Base

Our Scout Base

Bromham Scouts are based at the Leslie Sell County Scout Training & Activity Centre (Bromham) Meetings are usually held either in the Activity Centre or in the woods and field adjacent.

The Leslie Sell Activity Centre is an ideal site for those wishing to experience real Scout Camping. It easily lends itself to backwoods style, Patrol or Troop camping with a variety of woodland or field sites available. The site has a permanent camp-fire circle and an open air chapel .

Bromham is open all the year round for camping, Pack Holidays, training courses etc. The site comprises of 8 acres of grass and 18 acres of woodland, with areas suitable for most types of camping (plus caravans). There is an ablution block on the camping field with hot and cold water, hot showers and flush toilets. Water is available from stand-pipes around the field.

Wood fires may be used in most areas of the woodland and wet/dry pits may be dug in some areas. Altar fires should be used on the main camping field. A Storm Hut is available on the main camping field. Facilities in the storm hut include: mains electricity; chairs & tables.
